Obituary of Louis Thibodeau

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Louis on Sunday, September 10, 2023, in his 81st year. Louis was the beloved husband of Margaret for an incredible 55 years, a testament to their enduring love and partnership. He was the cherished father of Christine, Adam (Nikki), Aaron, and the adored Grandpa of Olivia, Erika, and Milena. Louis also held a special place in his heart for his dear sister, Danielle (Victor) Pietrangelo, and his brother-in-law, Robert Ungaro. His memory will be fondly carried on by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He has been reunited with his parents Omer and Leona, parents-in-law Mary and Ernie Ungaro, and also with his sister Georgette (Stephen) Lafferty.

Louis held his family close to his heart. He shared his love for sports with his children, dedicating many years to coaching and nurturing their talents as they grew. His guidance and encouragement will forever be remembered. Louis had a passion for golfing, and he enjoyed every opportunity to explore the world through travel. He appreciated every moment that involved good food, fine wine, and being in the presence of his family. Louis’ legacy of love, laughter, and devotion to family will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

The Thibodeau family wishes to express their deepest gratitude to their friends and all those who provided support during this difficult time. Your kindness and presence have been a source of comfort.

In accordance with Louis’ wishes, cremation has already taken place. Arrangements have been entrusted with Essentials Cremation and Burial Services. A Funeral Mass was held at St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church and a private interment will take place at a later date. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be given to Diabetes Canada. Online condolences may be made on Louis’ tribute page found at EssentialsNiagara.com.
