Obituary of Lorraine Julia Robins

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Lorraine Julia (Menard) Robins announces her passing on December 26, 2025, at the St. Catharines General Hospital, surrounded by the love of her family, at the age of 68.

Lorraine was a woman who found peace and happiness in life’s simple, beautiful moments. If there was music playing in her home, it was almost always country—filling the space with comfort and familiarity. She was most at home in the kitchen, where she found great joy in preparing meals for those she loved, especially her cherished and much-anticipated Christmas breakfasts and pies.

Above all else, Lorraine’s greatest treasure was her family.

She was the beloved partner of Kenneth Stuart, and the family extends heartfelt thanks for his unwavering love, devotion, and care. She was the cherished daughter of Dora Menard and the late Fernand Menard, a devoted mother to Fern Robins (Wendy), and a loving sister to Lorie Laurence (Jacques), holding her extended family close to her heart.

Lorraine’s truest smiles were reserved for her grandchildren: Anastasia Robins (Jozsef Zavodni), Zoey, Noah and Caelin Robins. She adored each of them and treasured every moment spent watching them grow.

Her granddaughters Anastasia and Zoey shared a particularly special bond with their grandmother—one that will forever live on in memory and love. Her heart embraced her great-grandchildren, Dora, Zoltan, and Matthew, as well as her beloved furry companions, George and Mya, with whom she is now peacefully reunited.Lorraine was a cherished aunt to Cianna, Joshua, Celicia, Gabrielle, Jack Jr., and Jeremy, holding each of them close to her heart.

Butterflies came to symbolize much of what Lorraine embodied—gentleness, transformation, and quiet strength.Though she faced her share of storms in life, she emerged with kindness and grace. Now at rest, she leaves behind a legacy of love, warmth, music, and family.

In moments when a butterfly appears, those who loved Lorraine will feel her presence nearby—a soft reminder that love never truly leaves us.Lorraine is lovingly remembered by her partner, Kenneth Stuart; her mother, Dora; her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; and a close-knit circle of family and friends who will forever carry her in their hearts.

With wings renewed, she has found peace and rest—transformed, yet forever loved.

In keeping with Lorraine’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held in the summer of 2026, where butterflies, music, and memories will honour a life deeply loved.

Lorraine and I were friends since high school and on Facebook. It’s hard to believe that we graduated 50 years ago. I could tell how proud she was of her family by her posts. I was saddened to hear of her passing. May your memories be of comfort to you. This is a lovely picture of Lorraine that you posted.
Sincerely,
Brenda (Mole) Gaudreau
