Obituary of Linda Tourond Martin
Peacefully surrounded by her family, Linda passed away at the Welland Hospital on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at the age of 74. Holding her hand until the very end was her beloved husband of 36 years, Fred. She was the best mom to George (Cheryl), Paul, and Robert (Cara), and a loving Nana to Scarlett and Kaitlyn.Linda will be deeply missed by her brother-in-law Carl (Linda), her nieces and nephews (especially Ginger and Monique), lifelong friend Shirley, dear friends Doreen (George), and many others whose lives she touched. She has now been reunited with her sister Shirley and her mom, Alice.
Linda was a constant source of fun and light, known for her easy sense of humour and the simple joy she found in being at home. Over the years, she collected thousands of elephants, each one lovingly gifted to her for special occasions and treasured as part of her story. She was happiest settling in with her favourite shows, The Mummy and The Big Bang Theory, or enjoying a quiet game of June’s Journey, and was quite content in the comfort of her familiar routines. Sunday night bingo with Cheryl was a highlight she looked forward to each week, and trips to the casino brought her great delight!
A special thank you is extended to the doctors and nurses at Welland Hospital for their compassionate care and attention.
In accordance with Linda’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no gathering at this time. Arrangements have been entrusted to Essentials Cremation and Burial Services. Memorial donations may be given toSt. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the Niagara SPCA and Humane Society.

Dear Fred and family, our deepest condolences. We always had a laugh with Linda and enjoyed seeing her each time she came to the office. She will be missed.
Dear Fred husband of Lynda, also George Son of Lynda And all the family, George and I (Doreen) and family, want to express our deepest Sympathy for your great loss. Lynda was a wonderful wife and mother. She and I were best friends for many years. I , (Doreen ) and Lynda shared many great times together.
We have created so many beautiful memories over the years. I love you Lynda, I will keep you in my heart and my memories until we see each again.
Today l would like to say being Lynda’s friend since we were 6 yr’s old. Has been such a blessing we were always together going to shows & just having fun. I will miss her phone calls & visits to my house l enjoyed her & Fred when they came in the spring but now l have fond memories Lynda will live in my heart forever. Your at peace now my sweet friend. Love you for ever. Your Childhood friend.
