Obituary of Linda Sutch (née Brlek)

It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Linda on March 12, 2022 at the age of 73. Loving sister to Marylou (John) Zigomanis, the late Laura (Gary) Reid, Joe (Bella) Brlek and the late Steven Brlek. Linda was the cherished aunt to Dawn & Michael Zigomanis, Mat & Marybeth Reid, Spencer & Kasey Brlek, Jimmy & Trent Romany. Predeceased by her parents, Steve and Ivy Brlek.

Linda was a founding member of St. Charles Cooperative Homes, becoming the first resident in October 1993 and living there for 30 years. She served as a President for several years, and also served on the Board of Directors, where she was actively involved with all of the Board functions. Linda met so many wonderful, lifelong friends at St. Charles who meant so much to her. She loved her time there, and was so proud to call it home. Linda will be remembered for her love of family, especially for the remarkable bond she had with her nieces and nephews. She always went out of her way to make them feel special, and nothing brought her more joy than her chats with them and hearing what was going on in their lives. She will be forever missed.

In keeping with Linda's wishes, cremation has taken place. Arrangements are entrusted to Essentials Cremation and Burial Services, 221 Division St., Welland. If desired, memorial donations may be made to Lupus Canada.

Joe, Bella and family; Pauline Hammond, Lisa McPherson and Sharon Morabito extend our sympathy for the loss of your sister /sister-in-law and Aunt.
Linda was proud of her roles within the co-op community. She always had a smile for the children and enjoyed watching them play basketball.
