Obituary of Linda Joyce Bunston
Peacefully, on Sunday, November 2, 2025, our Mom went home to be with her Lord after a brief struggle with cancer, at the age of 75. She was a devoted and loving mother to Shawn (Jody), Scott (Paula), and Shane; a proud Grandma to Daniel (Mikala), Michael (Emma), Joel (Reagan), and Julia (Austin); and a Great-Grandmother to Jackson. She was also a cherished Aunt to Steve (Trista) and Crystal. She has been reunited with her parents, Mary and Glenn Robinson, her brother Rick, and her beloved husband and soulmate, Bill Bunston.Linda will be forever remembered as a generous and caring woman with a strong maternal heart. She was the kind of person who would give the shirt off her back and never hesitated to lend a helping hand. Her love for children came naturally and she cared for many throughout her life, teaching them life skills and leaving a special impression on each family she cared for. She had a creative side and would love spending time doing crafts like painting. She was a movie fanatic and loved camping, swimming, and spending days at the beach. Above all, her greatest joy was always felt when she was surrounded by her family. Christmas was her favourite time of year, and it will never be the same without her. She will be greatly missed and forever loved.
Our family would like to extend a warm thank you to John and the rest of her friends at Cobblestone for their care and friendship during Mom’s time there.
In accordance with Linda’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A private graveside service will be held later, at St. John’s Cemetery, St. Catharines. Arrangements have been entrusted to Essentials Cremation and Burial Services (905) 354-2133. Memorial donations in Linda’s memory may be given to SickKids Foundation.
"For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known." 1 Corinthians 13:12

I love how Linda loved and took care of my grand daughters Maya, Ayla and Addison Torigian. Addison adored Linda and even still as a 17 year old Addison would go and visit Linda as she loved her so much. A lot of hearts are achy but we know Linda is still watching over everyone…Sally McGarr
