Obituary of Linda Duller (née Hutcheon)

Linda Duller (née Hutcheon), a selfless, caring and generous lady who radiated warmth and laughter, passed away on Thursday, November 23, 2023, at the age of 70. She departed this world peacefully at NHS-Niagara Falls Site, surrounded by the love of her devoted husband of 26 years, Chris, and her childhood best friend.

Born to loving parents, Robert and Mary Hutcheon (née Vorkapich), Linda's life was a testament to the beauty of kindness and grace. She was a woman who embodied the true spirit of compassion, always putting others before herself. Linda's heart overflowed with love not only for her family and friends but also for animals, as she was a passionate advocate for their well-being. Linda approached life with a contagious joy that left an indelible mark on everyone she encountered. Her laughter echoed through the years, creating cherished memories for those fortunate enough to share in her company. Always well put together, Linda carried herself with a natural grace that mirrored the beauty she possessed both inside and out. A lover of intellectual challenges, Linda would often engage her mind by watching murder mysteries and true crime shows. Her passion for hockey, particularly her unwavering support for the Toronto Maple Leafs, was a source of joy and friendly rivalry with her husband, Chris. Their banter about players and games added an extra layer of excitement to their shared love for the sport.

Linda Duller leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter and advocacy. She is now reunited with her grandparents and her mother in a place of eternal peace. Linda will be profoundly missed by her devoted husband, Chris, her loving father, Robert Hutcheon, her extended Duller family and her cherished best friend, Pat Irish.

In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place. Arrangements have been entrusted to Essentials Cremation and Burial Services in Niagara Falls. A graveside service to honor Linda's life will be held in the near future at Lundys Lane Cemetery with a celebration of her life to follow. Friends and family are invited to join together to share stories, laughter and love as we pay tribute to a remarkable woman who made the world a better place. Her family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at the NHS-Niagara Falls Intensive Care Unit for their compassion and care in Linda's final days. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the World Wildlife Fund Canada, a cause close to Linda's heart. Online condolences may be shared on Linda's tribute page found at EssentialsNiagara.com
