In Loving Memory of
Linda Anne Yeatman
1960-2022
Obituary of Linda Anne Yeatman
Peacefully in her home and surrounded by her family and close friends on Tuesday, November 29, 2022, at the youthful age of 62. She will be lovingly remembered by her beloved husband of 41 years, Don. Cherished mother of Jeff (Kait) and Allie (Christine). Fun loving and creative Nana of Kenley and Beckett. Dear sister of Barbara, Eileen, the late Kenny, David, Raymond, Brian, Barry and sister-in-law to the late Debbie, Sherry and Darlene. She will be missed by her extended family, many nieces and nephews, her long-time best friend Judy (Steve), and especially by her walking companion Buster. She has been reunited with her mother Anne, and we know they are both enjoying a visit and a nice cup of tea together.Linda was very passionate about her career in recreational therapy in both long-term and hospice care. While in Niagara, she enjoyed her time working for Seniors on the Move and would selflessly dedicate her time volunteering with Hospice Niagara and Wellspring Niagara. Linda had a special gift when it came to connecting with people. Her bright, joyful and positive presence brought great comfort in difficult times. Don and Linda enjoyed their move to Niagara after living in Scarborough, to retire and be closer to their family. Linda found the greatest amount of joy spending time with her grandchildren, always keeping them busy doing arts and crafts—her favorite hobby. Whether you were family, friends or clients, Linda was always sure to make every occasion a very special event, so they would have the best time together building memories.
Thank you to her palliative care team, especially to Melissa and Tara who were right by her side though the hardest moments of her journey. Their compassion and care gave Linda and our family comfort and peace. In accordance with Linda’s wishes, cremation has taken place and arrangements are entrusted with Essentials Cremation and Burial Services. Linda cherished the memories and roots created with her family and friends in Scarborough. A celebration of Linda’s life will be held on Saturday, December 10th at the Scarboro Golf and Country Club (321 Scarboro Golf Club Rd, Toronto) gathering from 1:00PM-5:00PM with special words of remembrance shared at 2:00PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be given to Wellspring Niagara or Hospice Niagara.

Don and all the family – I cannot find the words to say how truly sorry at the loss of such a beautiful soul. Although I have not seen Linda in many years, watching the snippets of life that get posted on fb and reading the comments from those close to her, it is clear that she meant a great deal to a lot of people and made the world around her a happier place. Thinking back to family gatherings and our vacation in Spain, Linda always went out of her way to be kind to me and make sure everyone was alright. It meant a lot and I have never forgotten. Take great care of each other at this difficult time.
