Obituary of Laszlo Pali

PALI, Laszlo (Leslie)

May 21, 1952 – June 5, 2018

Passed away peacefully with his family by his side at Hospice Niagara, on Tuesday, June 5, 2018, at the age of 66. He leaves behind his loving wife and best friend of 44 years, Judy. Proud father of Corrie Ann (Jeff) Blaylock, Stacey Marie (Thomas) Gill and Kyle James Pali. Cherished papa to Jena, Christian, Kylie, Adon and Ashton.

Les was predeceased by his father William. He is survived by his mother Ethel, sister Cathy (Bernie) Convery, brother Rick, as well as his nieces, nephews and in-laws.

Les worked at General Motors of Canada for 35 years. He was a dedicated, faithful employee who was well liked by his co-workers. Thanks to those fellow workers that called to see how he was doing as well as taking him out for a coffee of which he enjoyed very much. He looked forward to hearing from his work family no matter how unwell he was feeling. Our family and I wish to thank the palliative care workers and the staff at Hospice Niagara for all their care and kindness given to my husband during the last days of his life. In keeping with Les’ wishes, cremation has taken place. Arrangements are entrusted to ESSENTIALS CREMATION AND BURIAL SERVICES (905-354-2133). A Celebration of Les’ Life will be held at St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church, 3428 Portage Rd, Niagara Falls, on Saturday, June 9, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. Family and friends will be received between 10:00-10:50 a.m. in the church prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Walker Family Cancer Centre would be greatly appreciated. Online condolences can be shared on Les’ tribute page at essentialscbs.com

I worked with Les at General Motors for over 30 years. Les was an excellent Millwright and was always willing to give anyone a hand. He was a true gentleman and never spoke bad about anyone. Les demonstrated tremendous courage when he received his devastating diagnosis and continued to put his family first. Les was taken far too soon from us and we will always remember his smile and laugh. The big guy upstairs must of had a need for a hard working really good Millwright for some reason. My deepest heartfelt condolences to his lovely Wife and family.

What can I say other than Les was an outstanding husband, father, grandfather, friend and workmate. He was an incredible tradesman who knew how to have fun while getting it done. I consider myself lucky and blessed to have known and worked with Les for nearly 34 years. His courage during the last six months has been remarkable. My sincerest condolences go out to Les and Judy’s extended families. Vaya con Dios, mi amigo.
