Rick & I were so saddened to learn of Larry’s passing. We met Larry through his passion for cycling when he joined our cycling club, Amici per la Vita. Larry was a dedicated volunteer as a ride leader, always willing to help out and take his friends on new roads. He did like to go his own way sometimes…. I remember riding in Dunnville on a pre-determined route and he went “off route”… only to pop up ahead, naturally later on. He had gone off eagerly exploring. Amici per la Vita means “Friends for Life” and life should never be so short. Our thoughts and prayers are with Larry’s family.
Sending our deepest sympathies to Liz, Derek, and family. Extremely saddened to learn about this loss. ‘Uncle Larry’ was such a great guy, know he’ll be remembered forever. Many many many great memories of him growing up, exceeding all speed limits up Woodstream in his VW, and many passionate/forceful conversations about Neil Young…he definitely had a Heart of Gold and it’s been getting a lot of airtime since we learned of the news. RIP Uncle Larry.
Our deepest condolences to Larry‘s gamely – Larry was an amazing guy always super friendly – helping you get whatever you needed – he knew where it was and even getting it for you.
I’ve known Larry for over 40 years – he is a huge loss to our community.
RIP Larry
I enjoyed looking at your lovely garden many times!
Larry has been the very best next door neighbour you could have for almost 40 years. Our sincere condolences go out to Liz, Derek and family.
We shall all miss him.

Such fond high school memories of Larry. Two on two winter football with Rob, Frank & Larry. He was forever pretending to be a player from his beloved Dallas Cowboys. Larry and I analyzing all of Neil Young’s songs whom we shared a great admiration for.
Long May You Run Larry.
Heartfelt condolences to the Pelt family.
Larry, Liz and later on Derek were our neighbours on Fallingbrook Drive in the 80s. They were such good neighbours! Always willing to lend a hand or share a story. When we moved away, we always missed them but we were still able to visit with Larry at the IGA. I am so sad to hear this news. Larry was truly a wonderful man. Much love and hugs to Liz and Derek.
Memories forever!!
Larry Liz Derek were neighbours when our boys were young. He always was ready to chat and never said a bad word about anybody. He had a great sense of humour.
Saddened at his passing.
Sincere condolences Liz Derek and family
My heart aches to write this. I worked with Larry at the IGA and then Sobey’s. He was the warmth and laughter that filled each shift, and his friendship that continued in the years after I greatly cherished. Our world has lost a bit of sunshine. Much love to his family and friends, and all of the veteran IGA crew.
Memories forever my friend!!. Does it get better than this? Cycling the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve, Montreal, CANADA. Pit stop.
So sorry to hear of Larry’s passing. Many great memories coaching Derek’s baseball team with Larry. He was kind, encouraging and a wonderful human being. Deepest condolences to Liz and Derek.

We extend our deepest sincere condolences to Liz and the Pelt family. I was a high school colleague of Larry, and shared our mutual grocery business experiences. That warm welcoming smile will be kept alive forever in our hearts. Our prayers will be with you during this time of sorrow. God Bless Larry.
Sending heartfelt condolences to Larry’s mother Ann, his wife Liz and son Derek. Larry was a wonderful man and as next door neighbours of Ann’s we witnessed his dedication to her well-being and loved to hear the two of them sharing a laugh together. He will be very much missed.

Our dearest friend! Memories forever!
Larry was the best neighbour. He made me laugh as a kid so many times. I remember my dad had put the Christmas lights up and was video taping the house when Larry jumped onto our driveway out of nowhere and let out a yell to get into the shot, then he got shy and hid. We will have that memory forever! Liz and Derek, your loss is immense, but the memories you can share will carry you through the years. Xo
I was so saddened to hear of Larry’s passing. I worked with Larry at IGA and Sobeys for several years. He was always such a great person to be around. Sending Liz and Derek my deepest condolences and treasure all the memories you had with him. RIP Larry
Liz – Never met Larry but you often spoke passionately and enthusiastically about him, his love of cycling and his basic zest for life. You are truly such a wonderful person it is hard to see you grieving and at a loss. Please accept my deepest condolences and know that my heart will always have room for you in it… you are good people.
