Obituary of Larry Ernest Major Sr.

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Larry Ernest Major Sr. on January 11, 2022 peacefully in the comfort of his home at the age of 72 years. Larry will be greatly missed by his 2 sons, Larry (Amy) and Dennis (Samantha) with whom he shared a special bond; his grandchildren, Sarah (A.J), Matthew, Kaiden, Caitlyn, Calvin and Blair and his only sibling Dianne (Joe). He is predeceased by his parents Cora and Malcolm and by his grandson Chase.

Larry worked at Stelco until retiring at the age of 55. He was a hard worker and never missed a day. It didn't matter what life was throwing at him, he always made sure he was present. He past this amazing work ethic on to his boys. After retirement Larry found great joy in the simple things in life, fishing with his boys, driving his Corvette and going to Las Vegas with his buddies. He had a great affection for all animals but especially for his two furbabies. In keeping with Larry's wishes, cremation has taken place. Arrangements have been entrusted with Essentials Cremation and Burial Services (905 354 2133) To honor Larry's memory, please make a donation to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
