Obituary of Kim Kyle

Passed away unexpectedly at home on November 16, 2023, at the age of 60. Kim was the loving partner and best friend of Farrah for 24 years. She was the cherished Dada to her beloved Ella, who was the light of her life.

Kim was predeceased by parents Henry and Vera Kyle and was a cherished sister to Ella (Helen), Dave, Kelly (Sonja), sister-in-law Ilona Reece, dear aunt to her nephews David, Danny, Derek and great aunt to their families.

She was also deeply loved and will be sadly missed by her mother-in-law, Laurie Black, “GG" Irene Frederick and family in Canada, Ireland, the UK and Australia and by countless friends around the world.

Kim dedicated many years of her life to her role as a Property Manager for Macro Properties in Toronto. She took great pride in her work, and her tenants became her friends. Kim's warm and friendly nature made her a beloved figure among those she worked with, and her ability to connect with people left a lasting impact.

She was a talented builder and co-owned the woodworking business, K², with her sister Kelly. Their craftsmanship was a testament to their father's belief that they were "handier than pockets on a shirt." Among her many passions, Kim was known for her love of country music, building everything from closets to decks to entire lofts and spending time with family and friends.

She was an amazing soul, known for her selflessness and willingness to go out of her way to help others. Kim will be remembered for her genuine and caring nature, and how she never hesitated to lend a helping hand. She will be truly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

In keeping with Kim's wishes, cremation has taken place. Celebrations of her life will be held at later dates in both Toronto - where Kim and Farrah started their family - and in the Niagara region, where she grew up and spent most of her life. Information for both events will be made public when available.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to SickKids Hospital.

We will love you always and forever, Kim, Kimballs, Kimbob, Kimmers, Kimberly Aloysius McGuinty Kyle!

See ya…..

Dear Kelly & Sonja: In painful and difficult times like this I am reminded that energy can neither be created, nor destroyed. It merely changes form. Kim’s body may be gone, it served its purpose, and is no longer. But Kim’s energy cannot be destroyed. It has just moved into another form. Kim’s energy, and her love for all of you, and yours for her, will continue to circulate amongst your family and friends, and will live on through all of you. May her memory be a blessing. My deepest condolences.

To Farrah and Ella Bean, my Baby Girls.
I love you, and it’s hard to find the words. As your Mom, and Nana, I wish I had a bandaid that would fix your broken hearts. And a chicken soup that would make you feel better. But what I can offer, is my time, my shoulder, and my heart. You know how this works. If you need me,, ever,, all you have do is say,,,, and I’m there. I’m so sorry you have to go through this heart break, but as with all things, give yourselves as much time as you need, and know that one day, you’ll hate the sun a little less, and the world for being so damn happy. And Ella Bean, I love you so, so much, and I can’t wait to squish your bones!

To Ella, Kelly, Dave, Helen, and Sonja,

I’m thinking of you constantly. And I’m so sorry for the pain that you’re going through. You have so many wonderful memories with Kim, and although you’ll have saddened hearts for a long while,,, there also will always be a good story to tell, and a song to sing at get togethers. I hear it’s the Irish way, you know. That’s what I think of, when I think of you girls together.
The bond that you have, and the stories and songs you would get together and sing, and say, was always my favorite part. It always kept me mesmerized. You can see the love.
So, I just wanted to say, that I’m thinking of you all as well, and you will always be my extended family. I am sending so many hugs and kisses right now.
Love, Laurie ????

My Dear Sweet Kimmers,
You came into our family’s life, and you fit like a glove from day one. After your very first visit in Blenheim, where you met the family, I don’t know if your ears were ringing when you got home or not, But it was like a movie star or someone famous had been here. Everyone raved about you, they just loved you. And that has never changed in all these years. And everyone was ecstatic, when you became family on paper,, although you already were, in our minds. Thank you for being there for Farrah, You were there for her in a way that no one had been before, and even she didn’t realize how much she needed you, but she did realize how much she loved you,
and how you two just “fit”.
I watched as the 2 of you built your life together, and of course, you had your ups and downs like everyone else,, but Love brought you back together every time. And I honestly believe, it will do it again.
And thank you, Kim, for always respecting me, and treating me like I was your “other” Mother. And for always being my other Baby Girl. I loved our little talks, and you knowing that you could always come to me. That made me feel special and loved. I will cherish and remember those times, always.
You were the best Dada that Ella could ever have had, hands down. And she will go on with so many of your characteristics. She is so like you in so many ways. I know that she will bring your best traits with her as she grows into a wonderful young woman. Strong, respectful, loving, and kind, and I couldn’t ask for anything better for my granddaughter, and yours and Farrahs daughter.
You are going to be missed so much Kim, so many people love you, but there will be hugs all around, when we see you again.
Bye for now, my Kimmers, sending love, hugs, and kisses,
“Love you back” Mommason ❤️

Farrah, Ella, and Family,
I am so sorry for your loss. Kim’s passing is a huge shock. She had always been so kind and helpful in all her interactions. I remember her efforts to help in my home, our office, and at Carlton St. Whenever Macro Properties was in a pinch she even travelled across the country do what she could to cover for a staff vacancy. She will be missed.
