Obituary of Kenneth (Neil) Robins
Born Kenneth Neil to Nelson and Edith Robins, Neil grew up surrounded by his siblings, Doug (Fran), Donald (Ruth), Joyce (Ernie), Bruce, Joan (Barry), Marg (Dave), and is survived by only his youngest sister Doris (Robert). He grew up believing in The Good Lord and certainly wasn’t a stranger to hard work and discipline. He also loved raisin’ hell with his siblings. Later, he became the proud father of Roxanne, Neil (Sandy), Rob, and Nicky (Josh), grandfather of 6, great-grandfather of 14, and uncle to many; he was very proud of each.Crazy Bear was a dedicated trucker for most of his life. He loved to tell stories of the places he visited and the friends he connected with. He was a walking atlas and phonebook. He could draw a map of the United States from memory. He loved cruisin’ in Ol’ Yeller, hittin’ car shows, cruise nights, races, a Par 3, poppin’ by someone’s house for a surprise visit, or meeting up for coffee or breaky.
Living in Burks Falls, he began going by Ken and finally started slowing down. He enjoyed time out on the lake fishing. He eventually settled back in Niagara Falls, where he and his furry friend, Tyson, together slowed down even more, watching old westerns, Blue Jays games, and Nascar.
Neil will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by his family, close friends, and I suspect a few cashiers, and servers, too. Santa just won’t be the same from here.
10-4 Good Buddy, over and out.

We would like to send our deepest condolences to the family and friends of Ken. He was a regular at Heart Niagara and always had a kind word for everyone. Ken never gave up and continued to make his health a priority even though he faced lots of adversity. Heart Niagara experienced Ken’s generosity firsthand when he was helping his neighbors and worked with Heart Niagara to make sure their items were donated and upcycled to reach those that needed them. We will miss the stories about his family and how proud he was of his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Rest in peace Ken.
