In Loving Memory of
Kathy Cote
1943 - 2024
Obituary of Kathy Cote
Passed away peacefully on July 28, 2024 at the age of 81. Kathy was a devoted mother to Michael Feeley (Judy), LouAnn Perez (Mike), Guy Coté, the late Veronica "Roni" Feeley, and Troy Neabel. Beloved Grams to Brandee, Jennifer, Burgandee (Marlene), Tristan and Cherie. Proud GG to Josiah, Seth & Bryn. Kathy was a much loved sister to the late John Kennedy "Jack" Feeley (Alice) and Michael "George" Feeley (Ginnie). She will also be missed by her cherished cats Halo and Emery, whom she absolutely adored.Kathy was born in 1943 in Williamsburg, Ontario to the late John Cosslett Feeley and Marion Bertha Mckeown "Molly" Cochrane. Kathy dedicated many years to cleaning homes and businesses, a testament to her hard work ethic. She was an avid fan of the Blue Jays and enjoyed playing card games and Yahtzee, which was a staple in the family's household growing up. Kathy volunteered for the Hope Centre, and also loved her time spent at the Community House. Kathy filled her days with the simple pleasures of life — crocheting, thrifting, and hunting for treasures at yard sales with her granddaughter. In her downtime, she could be found sitting on her porch, enjoying her coffee with a cigarette. Kathy was known for her unique affection for seagulls; she found the beauty in them, like she did with so many things in life.
Kathy will be remembered for her sense of humour and her huge heart. A longtime member of Faith Welland Church, Kathy lived her faith through her spirit of generosity. Kathy's home was always open to others, often overflowing with the friends of her own children and anyone who needed a warm place to land. She was lovingly thought of as the "neighbourhood grandmother," and always made people feel welcome in her home. During the holidays, Kathy’s home was never empty, as a steady influx of friends and family would fill the house for days on end, creating memories that the family will undoubtedly cherish for a lifetime.
The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to Kathy's home nurses Jocelyne and Karol for taking such amazing care of her. Also, special thanks to Dr. Scher for the support given in Kathy's final days.
In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place and a small family service will be held at a later date. If desired, memorial donations may be made to Faith Welland Church.

I’ve known this beautiful soul since I was a teenager, she was always so loving and caring, if she loved you she did it with her whole heart, I remember bugging her to come to the community house with me and she finally came when I told her we were going to be crocheting or knitting and that was it she could not wait until Thursday mornings, and then Roni starting coming, we all loved going and made so many new friends, Especially Betty. Kathy you may have finally gotten your Angel Wings, but you will always always be in my heart.
I love you Kathy, give Roni a hug for me.
