Obituary of Karen Elizabeth Flowers

Passed away on Thursday, December 24, 2020 at the St. Catharines Hospital. She will be missed by her loving husband Patrick Flowers and her five siblings. She will be cherished by her children Lisa Krasovskis (Devon Lindsay), William Krasovskis, and Bryan Krasovskis (Janine). She will be treasured by her grandchildren Jaheim Lindsay, DeAndre Lindsay, Myeisha Lindsay, Colby Krasovskis and Isiac Krasovskis. She will also be missed by her friends Patricia and Charles Johnston, Bettie and Treff Desharnais, and Carol Horvat. Karen was predeceased by her first husband Raymond Krasovskis.

Karen was a selfless human and she cared for everyone around her. Some of her favourite hobbies were crafting, sewing, knitting, baking and taking care of her cats and plants. Karen took pride in baking Christmas cookies for all of her neighbours on her street. She poured lots of love into her knitting projects and would give back to the community by donating her knitted hats and mittens. Karen always looked forward to watching “Days of Our Lives” and spending time with her grandchildren.

Our family would like to thank the nurses at the St. Catharines Hospital for being there for Karen in the last week of her life, and to the recreational nurse at the extended care facility in St. Catharines.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Essentials Cremation and Burial Services (905-354-2133). As per her wishes cremation has taken place. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, Karen’s celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Humane Society, or to Hope for Dementia, and would be greatly appreciated by the family.
