Obituary of June Atkinson
Atkinson, June (nee Colbert)Passed away peacefully in Welland, Ontario on April 21, 2021 at the age of 79. Loving Mom to the late Jamie, Susan Atkinson (Jennifer), Terry Atkinson (Kate), and Dale (Tracy) of the Atkinson Family. Cherished Nana to Christina Surette (Joel), Tyler Atkinson, Dylan Atkinson (Justin), Bryanne Atkinson, Justine Auger, Collin Atkinson and Claire Atkinson, and missed by her 3 great grandchildren Austin, Alivia and Noah. Fondly remembered for her love of birds, which she always had one for company. June will be deeply missed by her many friends, family and all who knew her.
The family would like to thank the team of the 6th floor at Welland Hospital for their care and compassion for June while she was there. Essentials Cremation and Burial Services (905-354-2133) has been entrusted with arrangements. As per June’s wishes, cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations to the SPCA or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family. Online condolences may be shared to June’s tribute page at EssentialsNiagara.com.

My sincere condolences to June’s children who I remember from our Chrystal Beach days. I have never met such a brave independent person like June. I know she will be missed.
