Obituary of Julie Reinhold

Passed away gently on March 3, 2026 at the age of 72. Julie is now reunited with her late husbands, Hans (Gert) Reinhold and Robin Armstrong, and her parents Robert & Sheila Brough. She will be lovingly remembered by her sons Paul (Cherise) Armstrong and Alex (Samantha) Armstrong. Adored Grandma J to Ireland and John. Cherished sister to Barbara (John) Rose, Ian (Kathy) Brough and Kevin (Anne) Brough. Julie will also be missed by her daughter-in-law Judit Peterfi-Armstrong, her nieces, nephews, cousins, family in England and many, many friends.

Julie was a dedicated hairstylist for nearly 60 years in the Niagara Region - often joking that she just might be the most popular hairstylist in Niagara. She built lasting relationships with countless clients who quickly became friends.

Julie enjoyed travelling and was also a passionate fan of Formula 1 racing. She loved the thrill of race weekends and enjoyed travelling whenever she could, especially with her family.

Those who knew Julie will remember her as endlessly accepting, welcoming, and supportive. She had a warm, social, and magnetic personality. A true social butterfly, she had a remarkable gift for making friends wherever she went. Above all, Julie will be remembered for her ability to live life fully and joyfully.

The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to Nurse B and all of the dedicated nurses and staff at the Walker Family Cancer Centre, including the compassionate teams on the third floor and in Oncology for the exceptional care, kindness, and dignity shown to Julie throughout her journey.

In keeping with Julie's wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of her life will be held at the Merritton Legion (Branch 138), 2 Chestnut St E, St. Catharines, on Sunday, March 15 from 1-5 p.m. If desired, memorial donations may be made to a charity of your choice.

We are so sorry for your loss of Julie. Julie was witty, smart and a personality that little the room like sunshine. I watched a few races and a Daytona 500 together. She will be missed.
