Obituary of (Ellen) Joyce Goldstone

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of an amazing woman, spouse, mother, Gomma, Nanny, Nanny Joyce and friend. Joyce passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family at the Greater Niagara General Hospital on August 1, 2022, at the age of 81. Beloved partner of 35 years to Ernie Lalonde. Adored Mother to Claude Haggerty (Rose), Jean Foster (Chuck Stevens) and Donna Rovert (Randy). Cherished Grandmother to Lisa, Ashley, Nicholas, Victoria, Ryan and Great Grandmother to Tyler, Dereck, Finn (Chloe) and Bear. She will be fondly remembered by her siblings Kenneth “Neil” Robins, Doris Liddle (Robert), many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. She is predeceased by her parents Edith and Nelson Robins as well as many siblings.

Joyce had many passions in life, whether it was cooking up an amazing dish in the kitchen, playing a round of bingo, darts, Sunday afternoon football rooting for the Cowboys or to just sit out on her porch enjoying her flowers. She will be terribly missed by the little community in the apartment complex where everyone has become family.

In accordance with Joyce’s wishes, a private family visitation and cremation have taken place. A Celebration of Joyce’s Life will be held at a later date. Arrangements are entrusted to Essentials Cremation and Burial Services (905-354-2133). Memorial donations may be made to a charity of your choice, or you can do an act of kindness in Joyce’s memory.
