Obituary of Joseph "Joe" McIntyre

Joseph “Joe” McIntyre

Passed away peacefully at Bella Care Residence on April 20, 2021 at the age of 77. Lovingly missed by his wife of 52 years, Marilyn, and his children Kenneth and the late Christine. Cherished “Papa Joe” to Shea and Alyssa, and dearly remembered by Kari. Beloved brother to Alice (Moe), Tom (Rosaline), Lucien (Magella), Rita (the late Marty), Henriette, Leo-Paul, Therese (Fabien), the late Yvette (Raymond) and the late Helen (Brian). Fondly remembered brother-in-law to the late Susan (Marvin), the late Charlie (Gloria), Linda (Ralph), Bev (Butch), Naurene (the late Barney). Joe will be missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Joe loved working with his hands and took pride in creating art. He enjoyed woodworking, crafting beautiful pieces such as model ships. When he wasn’t wood working, he would grab a camera and take photos of people and places he saw. At the end of the day, he would grab a Coors Light, his favourite beer, and relax. Joe loved many hobbies, but his most prized time was spent with his family who have many memories with him.

The family would like to thank the nurses and caregivers at Bella Care Centre, you did a great job and were so caring. The family would also like to thank all their friends and family that supported them and helped along the way.

Essentials Cremation and Burial Services (905-354-2133) has been entrusted with arrangements. Donations to the Alzheimer’s Society of Canada would be appreciated by the family and online condolences may be shared to Joe’s tribute page at
