Obituary of Josephine Artine

With sorrow in our hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of Josephine Artine on February 27, 2022 at the Greater Niagara General Hospital, while holding the hand of her devoted husband with whom she shared 45 years of marriage . Left to mourn her passing is her wonderful husband Jay. He speaks of the many happy years they shared together as husband and wife. They traveled to the Holy Land in 2014 and had their marriage confirmed. She was a true lady.

Josephine immigrated from Iraq to London, England in 1981 with her husband Jay and then moved to Saskatchewan in 1983. From there they traveled to Toronto in 1986 before choosing Niagara Falls as their place to retire in 2013. She was very artistic and had the ability to design clothing. She enjoyed gardening both flowers and vegetables and as a quiet, gentle soul she would take many walks in nature. Josephine was very social, she loved being around people. She was happiest when she was sharing and giving of her time. She was very faithful.

In keeping with Josephine's wishes, a private family burial has taken place. Arrangements have been entrusted to Essentials Cremation and Burial Services (905 354 2133)
