Obituary of Joseph Alfred "Freddy" Leger
With heavy hearts, we mourn the loss of Joseph Alfred “Freddy” Leger, a selfless, hardworking, and proud Frenchman who brought joy and laughter to all those around him. Freddy passed away on June 1, 2023, leaving behind a legacy of love and kindness that will forever be cherished by his family and friends.Freddy was predeceased by his parents Leandre Leger and Dorice Leger, his brother Roger Leger, brother-in-law Clarence (Diddy) Desmond, and his beloved son Wade Paquin. Freddy will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by his daughter Brittany Ann Mcphee, grandson Holson Graham Mcphee, and Brittany’s best friend Eva Graham, who considered Freddy as her second father, along with her three boys Jaxon, Lukas and Elijah. Freddy's loving wife Erlinda A Rodriguez Guerrero, step-daughter Ines Ferrer, step-son Diosbany Rodriguez, and grandson Yasmany Terrero will forever carry his memory in their hearts. Also mourning his loss is Brittany’s mother, Sandra Mcphee. Freddy was the much-loved brother to Lenny (Gloria), Bernice (Paul), Doreen and Janis (Paul).
Freddy will also be deeply missed by his Skylon Tower family, with whom he shared over 30 years of dedication and hard work. Starting as a dishwasher under the instruction of the original chef, Freddy worked his way up to become the Supervisor, but he never abandoned his dishwasher roots. He remained an essential part in the Tower's operations, earning the respect and admiration of his colleagues. His absence will be felt by all who had the pleasure of working alongside him.
Known for his quick wit and infectious sense of humour, Freddy was always the first to crack a joke and bring a smile to those around him. His willingness to help others, regardless of their background or how recently he had met them, showcased his selflessness and genuine character. Freddy was an outstanding father to his daughter and a role model to many young people who crossed his path.
Freddy was the epitome of a good man, and was known for his kind heart and integrity. His homemade hangout pad, lovingly known as "the awning," was a gathering place for countless cherished memories and good times. He was not only a handyman, but he was also renowned for his signature stew, a recipe that sadly remains a secret. Freddy's musical talents shone through as he played the guitar and spoons, skillfully passing on his knowledge to his daughter.
A man of many talents, Freddy possessed a natural gift for drawing and had an unwavering belief in doing what was right and being honest in all aspects of life. He found solace in his love for music and harbored a deep affection for Harley Davidson motorcycles, even though he never had the opportunity to own one.
Freddy leaves behind a profound impact on the lives he touched. He will be truly missed by those who were lucky to have known him.

I was a friend of Wades he was such a nice kid growing up and he was funny smart and kind. Wonderful to know where he got some of that from. Condolences to the family and it brings me peace knowing they are together for a second chance.
Jokes-cracking and a wise man -you will be missed! My condolences to all his family. In all my 9 years working at the Skylon he was the first to jump and help without even being asked. He would cheer people up when they had a bad day. He would always try to help troubled kids and took them under his wings.
Rest in peace, dear Freddy (Frenchie)
