I live in Florida USA. John help me get through a lot of problems when I was on drugs we spent a lot of years playing video games together he got me off of drugs got me working again. I appreciate everything he did for me I started getting better and then he did the exact opposite it kills me inside I wish I had more money so I could have came and visit him before this happened. I will miss you friend my best friend..
Jonathan helped me out very generously with tree trimming and pergola installation so we shared a few meals afterwards and he was always so polite and friendly 🌳 🏡 I’m sure he will be missed by those he cared about.
We are deeply saddened to learn of Jono’s untimely passing. His spirit will live on through his infectious smile, laughter, and steadfast character. We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, especially his son, during this difficult time. May they find comfort in the cherished memories of Jono and the lasting impact he had on everyone who knew him.
Johno and Wally! He used to take him in red truck to get coffees from McDonald’s in the morning. Haha I always knew it was his red truck since he had a porg plushie on the dash!
Busy building kitchen counters
The incredible Stark Direwolf that he carved into the pergola!
I’m crying as a write this because Johno died too soon. Knowing him for over 10 years, I was aware of his struggle with addiction. He had ups and downs with it. I wish I could have waved a magic wand as a nurse and taken that away from him, as well as taken away the pain that his HS caused him. I am so sorry Johno for the pain in your life that you could not conquer alone.
He really was an incredible human being. Selfless, genuine, wore his heart on his sleeve, and fiercely loyal. I would come home from my nursing shifts so exhausted and he would cheer me right up. We did so many road trips together to Brockville and I will never forget how he used to ask for like 9 sugars in his large coffee! Lmfao!! Such a sweet tooth!! But he also loved savory food and he bought me a popcorn maker which my family and I use probably weekly haha! We have always brought him up when we use it being like “thanks Johno for the best thing ever!!”.
My memories of him will always be fond ones. I can hear his goofy and cheeky laugh so clearly it is like he is here haha! Thank you Johno for being like a big brother to me and a dear friend. Wally, Mikey and I love you. I’ll be seeing you xoxo
Johno was like a big brother to me. He even called me lil sis which was so sweet! I have known him for over 10 years and that time was filled with so much laughter, creative endeavors, and deep chats (he was a Libra after all!).
We enjoyed watching Star Wars (I think we must have re-watched Rogue One 3 times together haha) and especially loved watching the Mandalorian Show with Grogu whom we thought was adorable and we loved imitating him haha. We also shared a loved for all things space and fantasy like Harry Potter (his fave was the first film and mine was the third), Game of Thrones (he loved Tyrion and Bronn, thought their friendship was hilarious! of course he hated Joffrey! Lmfao), Aliens, Predator, Starship Troopers, Pitch Black, and he showed me the TV series Stargate. He got me a few lil gifts over the years such as a xenomorph ring, a grogu Pandora charm and a small gold unicorn pendant. He was so giving and selfless. I will always cherish these beautiful pieces of jewelry from him.
He was also extremely creative and a very gifted creator. He made a brass skull with light up flashing eyes and he did so much carpentry work including designing and building pergolas, and he built, from top to bottom, a gorgeous bunkie with bunk beds and a built-in bar. He also built kitchen counters/islands! I loved when he added a Stark Direwolf to the pergola at my mom’s house.
I remember when he was enrolling in courses to further his education and I gave him some notebooks and my favourite pens for him to use. He was always sketching and writing in them! He had so much talent and such a deep curiosity for the world.
I loved when he was staying with us and we would watch so many movies and shows together on the couch, and he would gobble up all the food that I cooked for him! His favourite was my broccoli salad. We also shared a love for Thai food and we always got pad Thai together (spicy of course!). He loved our dog Wallace so much and was so sweet with him.
