Obituary of John Paul Roden
It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of John Paul Roden. John passed away peacefully at the Greater Niagara General Hospital on Saturday, June 10, 2023 in his 86th year. Loving husband of Sharon, dear father of John (Jackie), grandfather of Taylor and Zachary. Predeceased by his parents William and Gertude Roden and sister Evelyn. He is survived by two nieces Samantha (Calgary) and Melissa (Australia), and brother-in-law Frank O'Brien (Paula). John had a passion for British Sports Cars and was a member of several British Sports Car Clubs, where he enjoyed sharing his knowledge and expertise with fellow enthusiasts. Cremation has taken place according to John's wishes. He will have his last ride in his loved Morgan on the back country roads. Arrangements are entrusted to Essentials Cremation and Burial Services.Service Information

i was so sorry to hear of Johnnys passing. I had just been talking about him with Joannie Shiner this past weekend. Although it has been many years, I clearly remember you and Johnny coming to visit us when we lived in St. Catharines.

Alex and I were saddened to hear of John’s death, unexpectedly for us as we had talked with you and John the day before

After reading the obituary, we were surprised to never talk about his British sports car passion.That would have been fun.

I am so sorry for your loss . I knew John and Sharon when I lived on Leslie Place in Fonthill. John was a helpful neighbour and we both had a fondness for dogs.

I grew up with John (Johnny) at out country place. He was like a cousin to me. There was a mutual caring for each other. I am very sorry that he is no longer with us. I will miss him.
