Obituary of John David Lingaitis

John Lingaitis passed away on September 5, 2023, at the young age of 59, surrounded by his beloved family. He was a devoted husband to Tammy for 31 years, a loving father to Kirstie and Courtney (Kevin), and a cherished brother to Linda (Nelson). John also held a special place in the hearts of his parents, John and Astryda. He took immense joy in being a grandfather to Logan and Grayson.

John played for old-timers’ hockey team and spent time in his garage. He enjoyed watching TV shows like "Yellowstone" and movies such as "Shrek" and "Burlesque." He was known for his incredible sense of humor, always giving people unique nicknames and changing song lyrics to suit his surroundings.
He worked for many years as a talented auto body technician and body shop manager, with his career taking him all over the Niagara Region and going as far as Kincardine, Ontario. He worked at Niagara Motors leading up to his final days.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made to the Greater Niagara Humane Society in John's memory, reflecting his deep love for animals.
In accordance with John’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Arrangements are entrusted with Essentials Cremation and Burial Services.

I went to high school with John. I sometimes would spend the night at his parents Lakeshore Road home. John always made me laugh. Sometimes he would dress up in his … Super Guy… costume as he called it and later he made one for me so we both could run around in the public. Those were good times.
