Obituary of John Law

John Law, 77, of Barrow-in-Furness, England, passed away peacefully on December 21, 2023 in Niagara Falls, Ontario. John was a fun-loving and hard-working Englishman who always had a story to tell, even if you couldn't understand his accent. Born and raised in England, he met the love of his life, Jennifer, and together with their daughter Heather, they immigrated to Canada to start a new life.

John was a dedicated Millwright, having worked in both England and the Niagara area. He took great pride in his profession and was known for his exceptional skills and work ethic.

In his free time, John enjoyed indulging in his hobbies. He was always delving into the latest technology and was astounded by the newest breakthroughs. Aside from this, he was an avid gardener, finding solace and joy in nurturing plants and flowers. Camping and fishing were also among his favorite pastimes, allowing him to connect with nature and create lasting memories. In later years, he found great pleasure in walking his dogs around Dufferin Islands, cherishing the peaceful moments in nature.

John is survived by his loving daughters, Heather (Tyler) and Meghan (Mark). He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Jennifer, and their infant son, Matthew. John's family and friends will forever remember his kind heart, infectious laughter (especially while watching Blazing Saddles), his goofy sense of humour, and unwavering love for his family.

In honouring John, he was given a final cup of tea and a few Mars bars were placed in his hands. Cremation has taken place, and a celebration of life will be held at a later date to honour John's memory. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that contributions be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to The Sea Shepherd Conservation Society as John was passionate about supporting this cause.

John Law will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His legacy of hard work, love, and laughter will continue to inspire those whose lives he touched.
