Obituary of Robert John Akitt
Robert John Akitt passed away on Wednesday, October 4, 2023, at the age of 66 years. Loving father of Kyle John Akitt (Colleen Simons) and Robert Daniel Akitt, devoted son of Robert Gordon Akitt and Mary Joyce Akitt (2011), cherished brother of Sherri Lynn Standish (Ron), Pamela Joyce Teckoe (John) and Robert Gordon Akitt (Sheri). John will be dearly missed by special friend, Tammy, and nephews and nieces: Geoffrey, Cameron, Graham, Katelyn, John, Kirstie, Ryan and Christopher. Also missed by Diane, mother to Kyle and Dany.John valued his work at the Niagara Fallsview Casino for 25 years as VIP Communications Representative. But, what he valued more was family. Things special to John: family, Golden Retrievers, fishing, camping and his beloved Green Bay Packers.
In accordance with John’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Arrangements are entrusted with Essentials Cremation and Burial Services. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Progressive Massive Fibrosis Foundation.
