Obituary of Joan Fare
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our mother Joan Fare at the age of 75, on April 6, 2021. Our mother found happiness in everyday moments and embraced all that life had to offer. Mom was born in Alberta, where she trained andproudly worked as an RNA. This career path brought her to Ontario where she spent most of the years of her life raising her children. Mom spent many years working at the Niagara Falls Review where she made many life-long friends.
Joan was a selfless mother and a devoted grandmother, who gave endless amounts of time to her 6 grandchildren and numerous fur “grand babies “. She was a kind-hearted, gentle soul, who positively impacted all those around her. She also possessed a fierce wit which she happily shared amongst her family. Mom took great pride in being a member of the Niagara Falls Legion and frequently volunteered with her partner Jack. Mom loved nature, especially birds, butterflies, and plants, reading, doing puzzles, sewing, and baking for her family. She will be sorely missed by her children Taeya (Clint), Janis (Marv) and Sherri (Meredith), and her adoring grandchildren, Morgan, Trinity, Griffin, Heidi, Wesley and Claire. Mom leaves behind a large extended family out west, including her brothers: Johnny, Harry, and Bert, her sister Virginia, and their families. Joan is predeceased by her parents, her son Albert, her long-time partner Jack, her sister Judy, her brothers-in-law Chet and Elmer, and her sister-in-law Sharon. Mom will always be in our hearts.
In accordance with Joan’s wishes cremation has already taken place. Arrangements are entrusted with Essentials Cremation and Burial Services (905-354-2133). Online condolences may be shared on Joan's tribute page found at EssentialsNiagara.com.

I met Joan through my work at Paramed. She was a joy and I have missed her terribly when she left Niagara Falls. She was funny and kind and she will be missed so very much. Sending strength and love to her family.
RIP dearest Joan. My heartfelt condolences go out to all of Joans children and extended family. I am so sorry for your loss. The love and care Joan showed to my grandpa Jack was something so very special and she extended that same love to us grandkids, treating us as her own too. Thank you Joan for being such a blessing to our family! You will be greatly missed.

My deepest condolence to Joan’s family. I worked with Joan at the Niagara Falls Review for many years. We use to go for lunch and had many rides to the doctor’s office. I will miss you.
Rest in peace Joan
