Obituary of Joan Mary Cain (née Arsenault)
Passed away peacefully on October 26, 2023, surrounded by her loving family and friends. She leaves behind many broken hearts who will miss her dearly. Mother to Denise (Chris), Rebecca (Prince Charming, James Bilon), Ian and her fur baby Gaby. Nana to Johnnie, C.J, Evan and Ivan. GG to Jacob. Survived by her mother Joan (Mike), her aunt Hilda (Rick) and siblings Nina (Volk) Anne (Ron), Cliff (Mary) and Will. Also remembered by her closest, dearest friend Patty Mefee. Predeceased by her partner Lawrence (2023), grandson Jordan (2017), father William (2005) and husband John (1981).A very special thank you to her homecare nurses Jan and Melissa for their compassion, dedication, friendship and support. Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held on November 25, 2023 at Club Belvedere (57 John St. Thorold) from 11am-3pm. Lunch will be served at 11:30am and a cash bar will be available.

My beautiful Joannie! I wish you had more time on this earth to spread your love and laughter. You had a beautiful soul, inside and out. I always loved being around you. You always made me laugh with your shenanigans 🤣. I am so happy I was able to see you before it was time for you to go. ..I know you are with your loved ones up in heaven. One day we will meet again. Until then my sweet Joan. Love you forever❤️❤️
AUNT JOAN – i will miss you wish there was more time that was given to get to see you when u were here i know ur in a better place free from all the pain u have touched so many lives and hearts made many smile everytime u walked into the room they will all miss you too . i send my heart and love to my aunts children and grand children. aunt joan was an awesome aunt. she was more of an awesome mom to u kids . i also know aunt joan was an awesome sister i hear about my aunt all the time from her own sister my mom anne. nothing bad it is all good .thank u aunt joan for being a great aunt and an awesome sister to my mom . again ill miss u and when its time god calls me home we will meet again then too . now spread ur wings fly high in the sky. like a dove from heaven and remember to say hi to my sis naomi for me when u see her please. to my grandma my uncles and aunts still here to my cousins im here for u all to give an ear and a shoulder to cry on if u need it. to my mom this also goes for u too i love u all too . remember every heart beat aunt joan is telling u she loves you too . r.i.p aunt joan you will be missed now and forever.
