Obituary of Jeanette Thivierge

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jeanette Thivierge, who left us peacefully on October 26, 2025.

Jeanette was predeceased by her beloved husband, Wilfred Thivierge. She was a loving mother to Pauline Thivierge of Port Colborne, Donald Thivierge (Monique) of Sudbury, and Carmen Thivierge (Thomson) of Jordan.

She will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, Joanne Thivierge and Donald Thivierge (Alex) of Sudbury.

She will also be dearly missed by her siblings, John Howard (Debbie) and Vi Howard, along with many extended family members and friends who cherished her kindness and warmth.

Jeanette was not only a devoted mother and grandmother, but also fondly known as the “neighbourhood mom” to many. As an active member of the neighbourhood watch, she provided care and support to her senior neighbours and their pets. Her kindness, generosity, and love of animals, especially dogs, touched the lives of all who knew her.

Jeanette will be laid to rest with her parents at St. Joseph Cemetery in Sudbury. The family invites all who wish to honour Jeanette to do so through their thoughts and prayers.

We love you deeply and miss you, Mom.

In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place. Arrangements have been entrusted to Essentials Cremation and Burial Services in Welland, ON.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a favourite or local animal charity. Online condolences may be shared on Jeanette’s tribute page at EssentialsNiagara.com.

Dear Pauline, my sincere condolences to you for the loss of your beloved Mother. I know how much you loved your Mother. I saw it in the way you were gentle and so kind to her when we would meet her at the senior nursing home. Your mother will always shine bright in your heart and guide you with the beautiful memories that the two of you shared forever and always. I love you with all my heart!
