In Loving Memory of
Jean Irvine
1938 - 2025
Obituary of Jean Irvine
Passed away peacefully on November 3, 2025 at the age of 87. Jean is now reunited with her husband Bill, her daughter Ann, her grandson William, and her brother Dave. Beloved mother to Graham and his wife Donna. Loving Nana to Charles. Cherished GG to Jane and Ophelia. Jean will also be lovingly remembered by her cousins Margaret and David E. and extended family in Scotland. She'll also be dearly missed by the family dogs, Max and O'Shea.Born in Scotland, Jean immigrated to Canada in her mid-twenties with her young family, eventually settling in the Niagara Region. She worked at Flange Clamp for 15 years before retiring from Cornelius Industries. Jean was a strong-willed and remarkably independent woman, who continued to live life on her own terms well into her later years. She will be remembered for her unwavering devotion to her family, who meant everything to her. Jean enjoyed shopping (especially her frequent trips to Walmart), knitting, baking and spending time at Graham’s — often just to enjoy the company of the dogs. Those who knew Jean will never forget her legendary shortbread cookies and steak pie.
Jean was a longtime member of Elm Street United Church in St. Catharines, where she volunteered her time and even sang in the choir. She made countless friends over the years and was adored by many for her warmth and generous spirit.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the compassionate staff on the third floor of the Welland Hospital for their kindness and support.
In keeping with Jean's wishes, cremation has taken place. A funeral service will be held at Elm Street United Church, 11 Elm St., St. Catharines on Saturday, November 15 at 11 a.m. If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Niagara SPCA.

Graham, Donna & Family,
We are very sorry for your loss as we know Jean will be missed dearly by all of you. She was an incredible lady, independent, kind, sweet and made everyone feel like family. We were privileged to have known her. 💕
Graham,
Words cannot express how deeply sorry I am to hear of your mum’s passing. Auntie Jean and Uncle Bill were two of my favourite people in this world! I’ve yet to meet another soul as kind, loving, and gentle as your mum. I have so many fond memories of her warmth, laughter, and the way she made everyone feel welcome and cared for. She was a very special person to me, and it brings me comfort to know she and Uncle Bill are reunited once again.
She will be so deeply missed, but her kindness and love will always be remembered. Please know that you and your family are in my thoughts during this difficult time.
With love and sympathy, Kirsty Fox
