BOND, Janice Ann (nee Hens)It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Janice, who unexpectedly passed away in her home on Thursday, July 18, 2019, at the age of 68. Janice was predeceased by her loving husband and soulmate, Russ Bond (2004). Beloved mother of Meredith (Sherri) Nelson and step-mother of Joanne, Jeff, Wendy and Amy. Special Nana of Heidi and Wesley. Janice is survived by her parents Pearl Turek and Richard Hens, and by her siblings Roger and Sheila and their families. Whether it be by lending out her beloved red truck, babysitting for her family and friends, or helping out her parents. Janice had energy for life. Well Jan. It’s been two years since you went to that “special place” where wonderful people hang out and watch over your family and friends. I miss your smile, our talks and most especially the laughs we shared. I think of you every day. I know you’re always cheering me on and telling me things will get better. Shine on, Friend.❤️
We had the honor and pleasure of knowing you, albeit for two short weeks. Even during this short time the generosity and depth of your character were evident. We’ll miss you dear smiling neighbor. Until we meet again, in a place where hopefully we don’t need to battle weeds and the stones and nature are even more beautiful than the reality you left behind.
Our deepest condolences to the family,
Katerina and Diman (from next door)
I am so sorry and shocked to just hear the passing of Janice. She was such a lovely lady and always had a smile on her face. My sincerest condolences go out to everyone in the family. Janice will be missed by so many people that knew her. ❤️
Very sorry to hear of Janice’s passing. She was a very kind, caring person! My deepest condolences to her family. A beautiful soul who will be greatly missed.
I’m really going to miss you, Jan! You were the best.. friend, neighbour, and confidant. We shared so much… laughs, tears, as well as just how to deal with everyday trials and tribulations. Our impromptu chats when we’d meet at the end of our driveways and I’d have everyone wondering where I’d disappeared to. Your phone calls asking for “help!!” When your computer gave you a hard time and cheering when you finally got a proper cell phone and joined the 21st century. You kept me sane when I became overwhelmed with being a caregiver to Dave and you knew exactly how to deal with Dave and his unusual sense of humour and more recently the effects his disease has had on him and all of us. Each time I gaze at your house, close my bedroom curtains (you always say you were my nosey neighbour), or simply walk out the gate to my car, I do and will continue to say “hi, kiddo!” And lovingly remember your love, generosity, and kind soul. Miss you terribly, peace lovely lady!
Janice was such a kind soul. She was always there to lend a hand to anyone that needed help. May you rest in peace dear Janice, You will be missed.
Jan is so going to be missed. — I will miss her chats on the sidewalk, or the times she’d just pop in to say hi. Or wondering where the heck jen ran off to just to see her talking to jen on the way into the car. She was such a kind, funny, lady, with a sarcastic sense of humour and one of the only ones who could keep up with Dave.
Karalina says she misses you too. She pointed at your house the other day and said “that’s our friend jans house. She comes over and talks to us all the time.” — she is very sad that you are gone and blew you a kiss when we walked by yesterday.
My heart and thoughts go out to her family, and dear friends that will miss her presence in their lives.
Jen is definitely going to miss her confidant, friend, and neighbour…
Love always, the circus kids next door.

When I think of Janey, I will remember a beautiful strong- independent- hard working- loving- caring-whole hearted woman with an amazing smile. Janey’s love for life was infectious and all the time I worked with her -there were times we laughed so hard tears ran down our face and there were serious times when I learned so much about her family and the love for all.
