My deepest condolences to Aunt Janet’s family. I am her step-niece, my step-dad being Thomas Jerome Oldfield. I met Aunt Janet and her family when I was around very young. She accepted my mother and I as family. I have wonderful memories of reunions with the Oldfield side and visiting them in St. Catharines and Fort Erie. Keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers. I will miss Aunt Janet dearly.
I’m sending my deepest condolences to all the family. I am Aunt Janet’s niece, Gaye Hammond, daughter of Janet’s brother Thomas Oldfield. Janet was not only my Aunt but she was my best friend that we shared alot in common. In the day Janet would come to Toronto and stay with me and we’d go shopping, fine dining, dancing and a few drinks. It was wonderful being in her company. When it came time for Janet to leave she was so happy because she got to take a third of my wardrobe (we were the same size). I’ll miss you forever in my heart.
I send my heartfelt deepest condolences to all the family at this most difficult time. I am Aunt Janet’s niece, the youngest “biological” daughter of her brother, Barney (Thomas Jerome) Oldfield. Though I only met her a few times, it was like we had known each other forever, and she was the only one who understood my need to stay away. My Aunt Janet was an inspiration to me. We shared so much in common as I too am a certified medical transcriptionist and very artsy/crafty, it was really funny. Years ago before Facebook, I taught her how to open an account and use MSN so she could chat with family. I’m proud to have been her niece, and proud to have known her. I loved her and will miss her. My thoughts and prayers are with you, and much love is sent your way. Have a good rest, Aunt Janet.
A testament to Janet’s loving nature, her kind and loving family. Thank you the for the memories I have. Even the binder, as I want to do this for my own children.
