Obituary of Jamie Paul Morency

With shattered hearts we announce that on the evening of Saturday, October 12, 2024, Jamie Paul Morency tragically passed away as the result of a motor vehicle collision. He has been reunited with his parents Marcel and Shirley Morency (née Labonte). He leaves behind his beloved partner Christine Hogg, adored children and step-children Hailey Fast-Morency, Skye Fast, Chayce Morency, Nathaniel Morency, Andrew, Camryn, Adison, Caleb and Arayia as well as his step-grandson River. He will be terribly missed by all his extended family. Jamie will also be deeply missed by his close friends and neighbours who had the opportunity to know Jamie for who he was as a person.

Jamie was known for his outgoing personality, infectious laughter and boundless kindness, touching the lives of everyone he met. His nurturing spirit extended beyond his family; Jamie was a steadfast friend to many and a helping hand to the entire community. He believed in lending a hand and had an unwavering belief in the goodness of people, never speaking a bad word about anyone. An avid lover of the outdoors, Jamie found peace in camping, swimming and gardening. His passion for planting and nurturing life was evident in his vibrant garden, a reflection of his generous heart and love for nature.

Jamie was a certified gasfitter, a role he took great pride in, known for his skill and dedication to his craft until an injury made it no longer possible to continue in his trade. His vibrant spirit and selfless nature will be deeply missed but never forgotten. He leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness that will continue to inspire all who knew him.

In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place and a time to comfort one another has been set aside on Saturday, November 9, 2024 from 11:00 a.m until 1:00 p.m at Essentials Cremation and Burial Services 221 Division Street, Welland, ON.

If desired, donations can be made to the Canadian Mental Health Association in Jamie's memory and would be appreciated by his family.
