Obituary of Jamie Peter Gregory Kirouac
It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Jamie on Thursday, December 21, 2023, after a courageous battle against ALS. He fought every day with dignity, hope, love, and courage.Cherished son of Yolande Kirouac and the late Raymond Kirouac. Dear brother of Linda Turgeon (Cam), Susie Fox (late Danny Fox), Daniel Kirouac, Michael (Stitch) Kirouac, late Claude Kirouac (Pauline), Gwen Vicieli (Renzo), Marc Kirouac (Jane), Steve Kirouac (Louise), and Therese (Terry) Kirouac (Rocky).
Jamie will be missed by his nieces and nephews; Jeff Pearson, Wendi Pearson, Sarah Kirouac, Trisha Kirouac (Pam), Michael Kirouac, Samantha Kirouac, Geoff Smith (Joanne), Ian Szagetti, Greg Arbuckle, Michael Kirouac, Brianne Kirouac, Stacey Carrusetta (Bruno), Jay Kirouac (Kristen), Warren Greenaway, Jade Oliver (Ryan). With a total of 17 great nieces and nephews (too many to name individually but loved and thought of always).
Jamie worked as a movie projectionist, with also a brief stint at the Shaw Festival. He had a great passion for art in many forms, such as pencil drawings, glass etching, wood working, soapstone carving – many of us named have pieces he created which will be treasured forever. He also loved working on his various cars and enjoyed many washing/waxing marathons with his brothers (especially Stitch).
Arrangements have been entrusted to Essentials Cremation and Burial Services. In accordance with Jamie’s wishes, cremation will take place and a graveside service will be held at a later date at Caistor Centre Cemetery where Jamie will be interred next to his dad.

My heart is broken for the entire Kirouac family. My deepest condolences to all family and friends. So many memories Jamie, lterally don’t know how you put up with us! You always sat on the stairs making sure Terri and I could exit safely lol, you were aways so quite but so observant, always kind and considerate and ohhh way too smart!!! Baby of the house, always watching mom cook. So much more to say, without words….R.I.P. babe….have a GOOD DAY! Thanks Terri for the BULLDOG memory
Jamie and I grew up on Crowland Ave and went to school together. We were great friends for many years. I have many fond memories of my time spent with Jamie. My deepest sympathy to the family on the loss of such a wonderful person.
Hey René brochu here. So sorry for your loss. Jamie was a great guy and friend in school. He and I did a children’s book called LEO THE LION which was placed in welland library!!

My sincere condolences to the Kirouac family,
Although I haven’t seen Jamie in many years, I do have fond memories of our friendship in the earlier days of our lives…he had a quick wit and a sharp tongue. If you did something stupid he was on it..we shared many many laughs together…Rest easy my friend..
