Obituary of James "Jim" ParksIt is with very heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of James "Jim" Parks on Tuesday, August 9, 2022 at his home in Niagara Falls, weeks shy of his 80th birthday. Jim was the loving husband for 55 years to Doris Parks (neé Gobeil), the devoted father of Lisa Doyle (Kris), Dan Parks (Loretta) and Rob Parks (Melissa), the proud Papa of Hailey, Kylie, Kaity, Ashton, Maya and Alaina. He will be lovingly remembered by his niece Susan and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Jim was an avid sports fan and enjoyed playing in many slo-pitch, hockey and golf leagues, until just a few years ago. He had an extensive career with Bell Canada until retiring in 2002. He was a real family man and they were most important to him. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather.
In keeping with Jim's wishes, cremation has taken place. Arrangements have been entrusted to Essentials Cremation and Burial Services (905-354-2133). A celebration of his life will be held at the Optimist Club 7085 Morrison Street, Niagara Falls on Saturday, August 13, 2022 from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Hamilton Health Sciences would be appreciated by his family.

Jim & Doris were the first people we met when we moved into our home 50 yrs. ago, best neighbours you could ask for. Know your in our thoughts and prayers, he will always be in your heart.
