Obituary of Jacques Roger Langlois
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jacques on March 6, 2023. He is survived by his loving wife, Lynn Calvert, his nephews and niece: Eric, Julie (Chris) and Jean Denis (Patricia), and two great nieces Florence and Justine. He was Predeceased by his parents Denis and Pierette, also by his brothers Pierre and Claude.Jacques spent his younger years in Montreal and attended the University of New Brunswick followed by Carleton University in Ottawa, graduating with 2 degrees. He was a happy and athletic man who was involved in many sports. Jacques was an award- winning downhill skier, water skier, hockey player, golfer, curler and at a young age he was a baseball player. Jacques spent many wonderful years at his family home in the Laurentians at Lac des Isles, at his grandparents and parent’s homes. Later in his years, time was spent in Gatineau Hills, at the cottage with his wife Lynn. They had many happy days together. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
In accordance with Jacques' wishes cremation has taken place and arrangements have been entrusted with Essentials Cremation and Burial Services (905-354-2133). My deepest condolences Lynn. I will always remember the fun times we had at the cottage with my parents and the others. So many memories.
I met Jacques in grade 2 at St Joseph school in T M R it was Jacques and his family who introduced me to down hill skiing and water skiing we always kept in touch and I will miss you deeply Jacques Roger Langlois salute mon ami
We grew up two houses away in the Town of Mount Royal, great neighbour and friend throughout life. Second buddy who has passed this year from our growing up years, know he lead a good life.
My deepest condolences to Lynn and family. Although many of us in Ottawa lost personal contact with Jacques after your move to St. Catharines, he was often remembered by the golf and curling crews he played with back here. Everyone liked Jacques. He was interesting and interested. I know I speak for all of us when I say he will be missed and fondly remembered. RIP old buddy.
