Obituary of Irene Emma Molnar
Irene Emma Molnar passed peacefully in her sleep to be reunited with her husband, Steve, in the early hours of Friday, November 25, 2022 at the Greater Niagara General Hospital. She was 94 years old and leaves behind her beloved daughters Dale Pedroso and Heather Marshall (Storey), her only granddaughter Rachel Caldwell (Tim Schill), as well as many nieces, cousins and several nephews.Growing up on a farm in Saskatchewan, Irene was the youngest of 8 siblings and a firecracker who didn't mince words. She enjoyed sharing stories about her farm life and siblings. She also enjoyed cooking authentic Hungarian cuisine, baking and sewing. She was an avid reader of biographies and was known to walk everywhere around the city of Niagara Falls. She had a love for country western music and a fan of both Johnny Cash and Elvis Prestley. Most of all, she enjoyed her nightly gin cocktail, just like the late Queen's Mum.
In accordance with Irene's wishes, there is to be no funeral service or visitation and cremation has taken place. Arrangements have been entrusted to Essentials Cremation and Burial Services. If desired, donations in memory of Irene may be made to The Lincoln County Humane Society or to McMaster Children's Hospital.
The family would like to send their sincere thanks to the Emergency Staff at the Greater Niagara General Hospital, P.S.W's at ParaMed, the paramedics that have come to the home from time to time and to the staff at St. Elizabeth's; Amanda, Marianne and Abby for their care and compassion in the past few months.

In loving memory of “our” Irene????♥️
Dale,
Your Mom popped into my head Thursday night. I was thinking about the times I spent in your office laughing at the stories of her little friends. The world has lost a special lady. So sorry for your loss. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
