Obituary of Irene Anne Desy
DESY, Irene AnneSurrounded by the love of her family, Irene died peacefully at Hospice Niagara on Saturday, May 5, 2018, at the age of 61. She will be missed by her devoted husband and best friend, Doug. Loving mother of Michael Green and Amanda Green. Special Gee-Ma of Ethan and Emily Holst. She will be missed by her sisters Shirley Bailey and Jill Lococo, and also by her nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Harold and Muriel Durnford and by her brother Pat Durnford. We will remember Irene for her warm, infectious and caring smile. She loved her cats and was always passionate about the welfare of animals. In accordance to Irene’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A private family service will be held. Arrangements are entrusted with Essentials Cremation and Burial Services (905-354-2133). Donations in memory of Irene, may be given to Community Animal Allies of Niagara “CAAN”.

My thoughts and prayers for the family. I met Irene once with John. I have heard so many stories about Irene about a wonderful lady.
