Obituary of Holly Joyce Brown

At the St. Catharines Hospital, surrounded by the love of her family, Holly passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at the age of 68. Holly was the beloved partner of Trevor "Peek" Reimer, with whom she shared many wonderful years. She was a devoted mother to Hilary Wood and Jillian (Mitch) Kondra, and a proud and loving Grammy of Spencer, Quintin, and Milo, who brought endless joy to her life. She will be deeply missed by her sisters Donna, Joanne, and her twin sister Carol (Rodney), as well as her sisters-in-law Cathy and Lynn, brother-in-law Tim, her five nieces, one nephew, and many members of her extended family and dear friends. Holly was predeceased by her beloved brother Teddy and her parents, Ted and Stella Brown.

Born and raised in Terrace Bay, Ontario, Holly moved to Edmonton at the age of 17 before making her move to St. Catharines, her home for more than 40 years. Throughout her working years, she enjoyed a career in hospitality and later worked in a butcher shop, where her friendly nature helped her make lasting connections with those around her.

Holly was incredibly creative and artistic. She was a gifted painter with a passion for creating beautiful works of art and also had an extraordinary talent for playing the piano. Music and creativity were a natural part of who she was. She also found peace and wonder in the stars, the moon, and the beauty of the night sky, always carrying a special appreciation for the celestial world around her. Family was the centre of Holly's world. Some of her happiest memories were made at Nickel Beach, where she and her daughters, together affectionately known as "the three peas," spent countless summer days together. She cherished every opportunity to be with her grandchildren, whose love filled her heart.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to all the staff at St. Catharines Hospital for the compassionate care and kindness shown to Holly and our family. In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place. A private celebration of Holly's life will be held at a later date. If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Niagara Health Foundation, designated to the Palliative Care Unit, in Holly's memory.

I have had the pleasure of knowing and being friends with Hilary for over 20 years! I always felt welcomed whenever I went over to their place for a swim, or a hangout when we lived around the corner from each other..we met at the travelling playground when we were going into grade 2, and ended up going to the same school….I spent many days and nights with them. You will be so very missed, Í truly hope that you are now at peace bc you deserve to be!
My thoughts and prayers go out to the family!

In loving memory ...
I/we pledge to make a memorial donation.
