Obituary of Herbert Lee Farrington

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Herbert Lee Farrington in his 85th year on March 19th, 2023, at Douglas Memorial Hospital. Cherished husband of Sharleen for 63 years. Father of Ron (Linda), Ken (Cheryl), Terry (the late Barry) and David (Cindy). Grandfather to Erin, Amanda, Jennifer, Ryan, Adam, Jordan, Tess, Sara and Griffin. Herb also is survived by 8 great grandchildren. Herb also leaves behind his sisters Joan, Judy, Lynn and Tammy. Predeceased by his loving mother Phyllis and his brothers Vern, Ronnie and Bobby and sister Jean.

Herb will always be remembered as being the funniest person in the room and he kept his family, friends and even strangers laughing all the time. He had a nickname for everyone and if you knew him well, he never stopped calling you that. Dad had many passions in life, but none bigger than the love for his Corvette and being around cars. He will always be remembered by friends and neighbours as being the first person to help when needed.

We wish to thank Dr. Scher and all the staff at Douglas Memorial for their compassion and care during this difficult time.

In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place and no funeral will take place. A celebration of life will be announced at a later date. In his honor, help out a neighbour or friend when in need and think of him. Arrangements have been entrusted to Essentials Cremation and Burial Services.
