Obituary of Harold Bradley

Harold Bradley passed away peacefully in his 85th year, Saturday May 15th at the Greater Niagara General Hospital surrounded by caring family members.

As a young man growing up on Rykert Street he enjoyed playing baseball, lacrosse and riding his bike with friends all over Western Hill and St. Catharines for that matter. Later in life he took a shine to the game of golf, developed a love for live country music and looked forward to travelling south each winter to Myrtle Beach and Florida on occasion. His hobbies included travel, cheering for his favourite driver while attending local stock car races, spending time at the casino taking in shows with his wife and buying scratch tickets. (He always seemed to win.)

Harold never had a bad day in his life and always rose to start his day with an optimistic outlook, a smile and a quick joke for a stranger or friend alike. Blonde and Little Johnny jokes were among his favourites and he used them generously to both get a chuckle and put people at ease. He truly enjoyed all of the social aspects of life but above all he loved his family more than anything else and would absolutely brim with pride when describing them in great detail to anyone who would listen.

A kinder, gentler and more generous man you will never meet. He will be missed by family and friends alike but always fondly remembered for the profound impact he had on all of us.

He is survived by his loving wife Rita Marie and her children, Sheryl-Dawn, James and Edina as well as his children Laurie, Teresa and David along with 18 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Due to current COVID restrictions the family will conduct a small Celebration of Life ceremony at a later date.
