Obituary of Grant Cecil Loft
Grant Cecil Loft, 76, passed away on December 22, 2023, at Welland Hospital, surrounded by family.Born on December 8, 1947, to Cecil and Kay, Grant is survived by daughters Melanie (Jovan) and Melissa (Dave) and lovingly remembered by grandsons Kirkland (Veronica), Jaxen, Nikolas, Lukas, Owen, Alexander, Drake, and Talon.
Grant, a funny and lively man, enjoyed the racetrack and casino and was a devoted "Papa" to his grandsons. He also cherished his sister Valerie (Ted), and her sons Todd and Scott. Grant will be missed by all his nieces and nephews. Giselle (Mark) shares special memories of weekends spent visiting him during his illness over the last three years.
The family wishes to extend a special thank-you to Care Partners, and the wonderful PSWs who devotedly supported him, as well as the staff at NHS - Welland Site for their exceptional care.
In accordance with Grant’s wishes, cremation will be taking place, a celebration of life will be held later. In lieu of flowers, contributions to a cause dear to Grant’s heart, Epilepsy Niagara, are appreciated. Melanie and Melissa, sorry to hear of your Dad’s passing. He was a great man, and I have fond memories of long afternoons sitting in the kitchen and watching him play games of Gin and laughing at his jokes. My condolences to you and your families, and friends of your Dad.
