Obituary of Gerald "Jerry" McConnell
Peacefully passed away surrounded by his family, on Thursday, February 21, 2019 at Hospice Niagara, at the age of 74. Jerry will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 43 years, Lucille. Caring and devoted father of Michele (Jerry) Bagnulo, Melanie Bennett, Marlo Walters and Brenton (Michelle) McConnell. Proud Grampa/ Papa of Devon, Maric, Hayden, Dawson, Sadie and Jameson. Great-Grampa of Chase. Jerry will be remembered by his extended family, friends and by his furry friend (his cat) Jake. A special thank you to the staff of Hospice Niagara for their compassionate care and support. In accordance with Jerry's wishes cremation has taken place. Arrangements are entrusted with Essentials Cremation and Burial Services (905-354-2133). A private interment will be held at a later date. A Celebration of Jerry's Life will take place on Friday, March 1, 2019, from 2-4pm at Heartland Forest, 8215 Heartland Forest Road, Niagara Falls. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be given to Hospice Niagara or to SickKids Hospital. Online condolences maybe shared on Jerry's tribute page found at essentialscbs.com.Service Information

I have fond memories of my dad and Jerry working out in the back yard on the garage. The two of them tinkering away. Anything that needed fixing we could count on them to do. Our families were always together growing up; whether it was a simple family dinner or celebrating a special occasion. Many wonderful memories were made.
