Obituary of George Edward "Ted" Campbell

George Edward (Ted) Campbell
May 21, 1940 - March 10, 2023

Ted Campbell passed away peacefully, in the presence of his dear friend Barbara, in the early morning hours of March 10, 2023. He leaves behind his nieces Cathy Lanni, Marg Long, Patty Campbell, Heather Brunette, Jenny Hoops and Debbie Barry (and their families), and nephew Bob Campbell (and family). Ted also leaves behind his very dear friends Art and Wendy Willer, whose steadfast loyalty and great love for Ted will be remembered always, as well as many friends and neighbours in Fort Erie who became his family in his later years. Predeceased by his loving parents, Gladys and George Campbell, stepmother Hilda Campbell, brother Bill Campbell, and his twin sister, Peggy Hoops.

Ted was a kind and generous man. He could tell great stories and recollect fascinating and often entertaining details from long ago. Ted also loved dogs and people. Wherever he went he could start a conversation and make friends. We will miss him.

In accordance with Ted's wishes, cremation has taken place. Arrangements have been entrusted with Essentials Cremation and Burial Services. Family and friends are welcomed to attend a memorial gathering, to be held on Friday, May 26, 2023, from 12pm to 2pm at Bridgewater Country Club, 700 Gilmore Road, Fort Erie. In memory of Ted, memorial donations may be given to the Lincoln County Humane Society. Online condolences may be shared on Ted's tribute page found at EssentialsNiagara.com.

I cleaned for Ted for many years. He always had a story or two to tell me and I’d never get started cleaning until I’d been there at least 20 min or more! Lol I was so saddened to hear he passed – he always had a smile for me and could never thank me enough for doing a job well done. I’ll miss you so much Ted…sending my prayers to Barbara…xo

Ted has been part of my family and a loving partner to my mom Barbara for sixteen years.! Over the years Ive enjoyed listening to and seeing the pics of the many adventurous trips he and mom have been on. He also kept me up to date on the recent fire calls in TO and what the neighborhood dogs were up to. I , my kids and grandkids will miss our visits and telephone calls. Im pretty sure Ginger would have been the first one to greet him! Until we meet again. Barbie & Family.
