Obituary of Gary Alfred Agnew

With heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of Gary Alfred Agnew on Friday, January 24, 2025 at the age of 77. Gary was a devoted father to Billy Agnew (Emma) and a proud Papa Gary to his grandson Noah. Gary was a beloved brother to Victoria Agnew, Irene Campbell, Darlene Mootz (Ken), the late Walter Agnew, and the late Margret Carambelas (George).

Gary had a passion for life that shone through in everything he did. Whether riding roller coasters, trying his luck at the casino, or spending quality time with his family, he approached every moment with excitement and enthusiasm. His love for collecting clocks reflected his appreciation for the little things, while his deep connection with birds and wolves symbolized his free-spirited nature and love for the wild. Above all, Gary was known for his huge heart. He was always ready to lend a helping hand, offering support to anyone in need, no matter the circumstance. His generosity, warmth, and caring soul touched the lives of all who knew him, and he will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing him. His memory will live on in the stories shared, the laughter he brought into every room, and the love he so freely gave.

In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of Gary’s life will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2025 from 1:00 p.m until 3:00 p.m at Essentials Cremation and Burial Services 4300 Drummond Road, Niagara Falls, where we will come together to honor his legacy.

Donations in Gary’s memory may be made to Diabetes Canada.

Gary was a warm and caring man. He always went out of his way to include me in different events with my sister Emma (when I lived with her)and his son Billy. He was positive and could laugh about things and life and had a smile on his face. I will miss him very much. Sending our deepest sympathy to Billy, Emma and Noah and all his family.
May you rest in peace Gary…
Love Sarah and Sam xo
