Also five granddaughters Stephanie (Chris) Cooper, Anna (Rachel) Schalk, Stacie Kostecki, Olivia Davidson and Sadie Schalk. He was also blessed with three great granddaughters, Hayleigh, Aubree and Alice. Predeceased by a son John (1969). Gary also leaves behind a brother Cornelis (Beertje), sister-in-law Annie (the late Henry, brother), sister in law Marlene (Jack) Gemmell and many nieces and nephews. Gary spent 41 years working at Port Weller Dry Docks, a job that he loved. Gary was cremated at his request. My sincere condolences to the Schalk family on the loss of your husband, father and grandfather. I remember him well from going to school with Debbie and later when my parents Bouwe & Djoeke Visser lived at Martindale Place. May God comfort you in these difficult days.
