We were very saddened to hear of the
passing of Fred. We were privileged to have him belong to # 6 RCAF Museum,
Dunnville.
Always had a lot of interesting stories to
tell of his life as a WWII Veteran. He paid
the price for the freedom we have today.
He will be missed by all.
Our sincere condolences to Roberta and the rest of Fred’s family.

I am so sad and sorry to hear about the passing of such a unique, special & wonderful person. My sympathies go out to Roberta and all the children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and their families.

I would like to share a few of my own special memories of Frederick William Cash, QC.

“Mr. Cash” was my first boss and I was fortunate to come right out of Port Colborne High School and into the wonderful world of working at the law offices of Feagan & Cash. At our first meeting, when he asked me casually if I had a resume I could leave with him, I just stared at him blankly so you can see how well prepared I was. He hired me anyway and that started me on my way. It was a great training ground and we worked with wonderful people.

Mr. Cash was kind and funny and caring. We all laughed and talked and joked and worked hard. We weren’t just staff to Mr. Cash, we were also friends. I can remember sitting under the gingko tree one Friday night after work. He asked me what I would like to drink and when I mentioned a sweet, fruity wine I could see him visibly cringe at my choice. Another memorable time was when he decided to take us all out on his sailboat and that in itself was an experience which some of us still think of with fright & delight!

Later on when the snow birds would return from Florida, the Feagan, Cash, Reilly & Quinn gang would get together and reminisce over old times and share new stories. I wish we would have done that more often!

Larry, Lori Anne & I stopped in to see Fred and Roberta when we were in Florida one year and they were extremely hospitable and welcoming. Thank you Roberta for that memory as well.

Like Fred, my father & uncle were both in the RCAF during WWII and my grandfather was in the RFC during WWI. Larry and I will be making a family donation in Fred’s memory to the RCAF Museum in Dunnville.

Our Dearest Mimi,

We were truly sad to hear of our loving grandfather (and gf in-law), Fred’s passing. And even more down to know that we weren’t there to say goodbye and can’t be there right now to embrace our family.

We spent last evening reminiscing about Fred after hearing from Mom. We talked at length about how wonderful his life was and how much he achieved, not just for himself but for humanity. He gave a lot to his country, his family and his fellow man. Always standing up for what is right and giving his most positive and liberal stance on diversity, politics and more. We both truly admire everything about Fred and are proud to say we look up to him – his legacy is astounding and we hope to make him proud as we continue to grow.

Mimi, we love you so dearly and hope to see you soon. We can’t wait to hug and kiss you and continue to celebrate Fred’s incredible journey. Tonight we cheers to one of the bests!

Sending our love,

Grayson & Rohini

Despite being a tree hugging liberal, Fred was the best friend and golfing buddy a man could ever ask for. As the most recent winner of the Legends Of Golf Curmudgeon Cup it will now be retired in his honor and dedicated to his memory. I loved Fred.
