Obituary of Frank Winston Hampson

St. Catharines (Martindale Area) lost one of its beloved residents with the passing of Frank Winston Hampson. Frank was born on September 5, 1941, in the heart of this community and remained a dedicated and cherished member throughout his entire life.
Frank was a man of remarkable qualities. His kindness and straightforwardness endeared him to all who had the privilege of knowing him. He lived a selfless life, always genuinely interested in how everyone was doing, offering a listening ear and a warm heart to those in need.
Among his greatest joys in life were his family and grandchildren. Frank was a devoted and loving husband to his cherished spouse, Ruth. Together, they built a life filled with love and shared moments that will forever be treasured.

Frank was a dedicated father to his children, Jean (Bob), Frank (Melissa), Dan (Brad), Gary (Mala) and Karen and a proud and loving "Grampa" to Zack, Alex, Chetan, Derek, and Devan. He never missed a chance to support and cheer on his grandchildren, whether it was at sporting events or theatre performances. His presence in their lives was a source of endless inspiration and love. Frank was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Phyllis (née Martin) as well as his sisters Betty, Joyce, Sylvia, and Joan, and his brothers Bryan and Don. He is survived by his brothers Paul, Larry, and Rick, who will continue to cherish his memory.

In addition to his family, Frank dedicated 35 years of his life to serving the community as an Inspector/Manager for the Lincoln County Humane Society. His compassion and commitment to the welfare of animals were unwavering, leaving a lasting impact on the lives of countless animals and their human companions.

In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of Frank's life will be held at a later date to honor his memory and the profound impact he had on the lives of all who knew him. In lieu of flowers, his family kindly requests that donations be made to Hospice Niagara in Frank's memory, supporting an organization that provides comfort and care to those in need during their most challenging times.
