Obituary of Frances Pitrina Girgenti “Frannie”
Peacefully on Sunday, January 1, 2023, Frannie passed away in the comfort of her home at Pleasant Manor, at the age of 81. She was dearly loved by her siblings, Guy (Pat) and Patricia Lefrancois. Frannie will be fondly remembered by her nephews and nieces, Michael Paul, Lisa Marie, Josh (Candice), Morgan, Trish and Carly, by her Aunt Lena Petruzzela, many cousins, and also "the girls”. She has been reunited with her parents Carmelo and Lillian Girgenti.Frannie enjoyed her career working at Ontario Paper and dedicated many years to her role as a comptometer operator. Frannie always had fun going out to the movies and concerts. She was known to be a fan of sports. Throughout her life, she enjoyed spending time out on the greens, golfing. She’d love to cheer on the Ice Dogs and watch hockey or football; although she would always remind us that her favourite part of football was checking out the players and their tight pants!
Frannie cherished her family and was the best caregiver to her mom Lillian. We are comforted knowing that they are both together again.
A special thank you to the staff at the Loyalist and at Pleasant Manor, who treated Frannie very well and made her feel right at home right until her passing. In accordance with Frannie‘s wishes, cremation has taken place and arrangements have been entrusted with Essentials Cremation and Burial Services, 4300 Drummond Road, Niagara Falls (905-354-2133).
