Peacefully passed away on Tuesday, November 19, 2019, at the Welland Hospital. Forever in the hearts of her loving daughters, Vicki, Kathy, Mariann (Wayne), Donna and Kelley (Marc). Cherished “Ma” to 9 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Dear sister-in-law to Sia Hicks, Beverly (Ron) Reynolds, Norma (Bob) Deline, Gail (Pete) Galley, Allan Murray (the late Joyce), and Billy (Beverly). Predeceased and reunited with; her husband, Russell Murray, parents Fannie and Tom Hicks, her father and mother-in-law Ross and Corabelle Murray, siblings: infant brother Charles, Hugh Thompson “Pudge” (Dorothy) , Willie, Marge (Archie) Wolven, Doug (Betty), Ron (Evelyn), Davey, brother-in-law Jack (Virginia) Murray, sister-in-law Phyllis (Cecil) Walker, nephews Tommy Hicks, Kevin Wolven, Artie Hicks, and grandson Joshua Evans. Known as “Ma” to her children, friends of her children and grandchildren. She will also be lovingly remembered by her nieces and nephews. A special thank you to the staff at the Welland Hospital for their care and support during Ma’s stay. In accordance with Betsy’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Arrangements are entrusted with Essentials Cremation and Burial Services. A private graveside ceremony will be held at a later date. Memorial donations may be given to Bladder Cancer Canada.
