Obituary of Evelyn Marie Kray

Evelyn had her hair done, nails painted and was ready to be reunited with her husband Joseph Kray (1990) in the early morning of June 7, 2023 just a few weeks after her 94th birthday. She was also welcomed home by her parents Nicholas and Maria Dudas (née Kopf) and her five brothers. Evelyn was the devoted mother to Lynn Bradnam (Bob), Bonnie Steinburg (David) and Dan Kray (Kelly), loving grandmother to Chris, Tiffany (James), Jason (Brenda), Kristen (Matt), Jennifer (Reg), Kristen (Steven), Lyndsey (Steven) and Tyler (Natasha) and cherished great-grandmother to Tyler, Emerson, Evan, Trey, Addy, Mallory, Spencer, Dylan, Colton, Nathan, Lily, Kieran, Aiden, Lucas and Kaley.

Evelyn worked for the Niagara District School Board as a caretaker for almost 20 years. When she wasn't at work or spending time with her family you could find her relaxing with the one arm bandits at the casino. She had stacks of crossword books (most of them finished) and loved watching Jeopardy. Evelyn made friends wherever she went. She had the greatest smile and loved all her friends at Eventide for making her feel so welcome. Her positive outlook on life will be terribly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place. Arrangements have been entrusted to Essentials Cremation and Burial Services. A small graveside service will be held at Lundy's Lane Cemetery on Friday, June 16, 2023 at 11:00 a.m.

Her family would like to send their sincere thanks to Major Renee, Major Donna and the staff; nurses, PSWs and desk clerks at Eventide for their compassion, patience and consideration while Evelyn was in their care. If desired, donations in Evelyn's memory may be made to Eventide and would be appreciated by her family.
